EXTREME EVANGELISM: VILLAGE BY
VILLAGE…HUT BY HUT…FACE TO FACE…UNTIL EVERY PERSON IS REACHED.
Our world today looks very different than it did when Jesus walked the earth,
giving instruction to His followers. As the world hungers for the truth,
opportunities for evangelism continue to be great. Incredible results occur when
towns and communities are reached for Christ…lives are changed…cities are
transformed…entire nations are infiltrated with the gospel message. All because someone dares to “go.”
You may never take a boat ride in the Pacific just to take the Gospel to a
village with less than a dozen homes. Or dodge rocks hurled by Muslim fanatics
who want to run you out of town because you want to share the Good News. Or
venture far into the Ituri rainforest of the Congo by canoe to reach pygmies
living in the trees. But your role in helping to fulfill the Great Commission
and share the gift of salvation to a lost world could ultimately take you to
places you only dreamed of going.
The apostle Paul recognized that not every person would be able to personally
“go”. For this reason he challenged the Church in Rome, asking, “How shall they
preach unless they are sent?” emphasizing the need to be able to send the Gospel
beyond our borders even when we may not be able to “go” ourselves.
Here is an opportunity to equip those who are able to “go”…those who have
the ability to put a pack on their back and by foot, and on bike or on moped,
literally go door to door with the Gospel, touching entire communities with the
love of Jesus.
By recruiting an army of volunteers and taking them through extensive evangelism
training, equipping them with the proper tools, and systematically covering
every sprawling metropolis, city and town, farm by farm, village by village, and
even hut by hut we are able to quantify the progress and say with certainty that
a given area has been absolutely, positively reached for Christ.
With your partnership these extreme evangelists will reach
every home and make a face-to-face Gospel presentation using the tools
in the “go-pack” – Gospel booklets written in their national language, go-bead
children’s witnessing bracelets, Gospel messages in illustrated formats for
those who cannot read, follow-up materials and New Testaments.
Since 1946, EHC’s mobile army of Gospel literature distributors has reached ONE
BILLION homes in 196 nations. But far more important are the more than 50.4
million responses to the Gospel that have been sent by people who heard a knock
at their door, opened it and saw standing in front of them EHC evangelists with
“go-packs” slung over their shoulders, ready to share the Good News of the
Gospel.
